"I did it! Scroll down to the bottom of the Testimonials for my story of 1st purchase from Ronnie in 1978. As I explained there, I never forgot what Ronnie did for me and vowed to return when I could finally buy a new Harley. June 2012 my wife and I made a trip over "just to look" at my dream bike - 2012 Roadglide. Warmly greeted by Jeremy and offered a ride on Keith's (Ronnies son) pre-owned Roadie. Loved it with all the mods he had done but really wanted a black one - like they had on the floor. Not a problem as they had it outside waiting for us when we returned. Took it for a spin, talked some numbers and...the rest, as they say, is history. Picked up my Brand New 2012 (Black) Roadglide Ultra the next day and I shared the story about his Dad with Keith as we were finalizing the paperwork. After they ran through the initial operation and features of the bike with me and we spoke with some passersby and prepared to take off. As we got on the bike Keith ran out and told me to wait a minute. Ronnie rode up on his ElectraGlide and walked down the hill to see me off. I can't tell you how much it meant to me that he would take the time to congratulate me on the purchase. He remembered my saga from all those years ago and was truly happy that I didn't forget and returned to buy the new bike. Thanks to everyone and will see you in the spring!"

"10/5/12 I was traveling through on my way to Vermont when i had a problem with my 2007 streetglide. bike neutral switch was bad and bike stalled. ronnies sevice took me in immediately and work on my bike. within a 1/2 hour i was fixed and on my way saving my trip. best dealer and fair. wish they were in westchester ny were i am from. "I want to thank Ronnies in Pittsfield for making my first experience buying a Harley-Davidson feel like it should. After having less than satisfactory experiences with other Harley dealerships in the capital region I called Ronnies to see what bikes they had and what kind of trade in value they would give me on my old bike. "The story of my purchase of a pre-owned Sportster from Ronnie's this winter speaks volumes about this excellent dealership. After almost 30 years away from the sport, I was hit hard this winter by the bug to own another bike--this time a Harley. Maybe it was a midlife crisis, but to me if felt like 30 years of dreaming were invested in finding just the right bike. Budgetary constraints dictated that it would need to be a pre-owned Sportster, but that's what I'd been dreaming about anyway. I began perusing the web, starting with dealers in the greater NYC area where I live, and generally was disappointed with inventory and price UNTIL I somehow landed on Ronnie's website. There I discovered the sweetest looking xlh 1200 with only 4900 miles and several custom touches courtesy of the previous owner. A few phone calls back and forth with Gordie Laplante, who very patiently answered all my questions, and I was making the 2 1/2 trip from NYC to check it out. Kelly, the finance manager, helped me get a terrific rate on financing and within a week I was at the DMV registering the bike. To say that I was very impressed with and grateful for the friendliness, lack of pressure, and patient, knowledgeable communication by everyone at Ronnies would be an understatement. Yet, as things turned out finding and purchasing the right bike was just the beginning of my positive experience with Ronnies. When my wife and I made the trip back to Ronnies to pick up the bike one warm weekend in late March, Gordie said he had heard a click when he tried the start button. And even though the bike had started up he wanted to bring it to the service department to let them check it out. Although the bike had been well prepped, he knew that something was not right. Gary, the service manager, immediately put two men on the job of checking out the charging system to diagnose the and correct the problem. A short time later, with problem solved, I was on my way. Whether you're having a midlife crisis like me, or in need of a Harley for any other reason, you have to check out this dealership!--especially if you are looking for the peace of mind that comes from dealing with people who stand behind what they sell and take pride in what they do. "I live in NY between two dealerships and they couldn't make me a deal like Ronnies 35 miles from home ! I even tried Burlington VT. Nice folks up there but not the deal I needed. I was really treated like a family member @ Ronnies and even got more than the time of day from Ronnie himself ! He offered to let me ride HIS bike to see if I liked ABS. Gordie ,Kelly and Gary made the whole process a breeze from the sale to the goodies I added ! My 2 tone Rootbeer FLHX is a pleasure to ride and I'm excited to try out the service dept. in Guilderland NY to add some ponies ! "I owned a 93 FLSTC that was getting a little long in the tooth and decided last summer that this winter it would be time to start to look for a replacement. I plotted out my search begining in Maine and working my way south through New Hampshire and then Mass. Planning a weekend to western Mass I mapped out 5 dealers to visit (I hadn't really found anything that peaked my interest both from style and price). My last stop on this weekend trip was Ronnie's. Low and behold he had two of them that I not only loved from a looks standpoint but as luck would have it he was having a huge sale that week and the price was simply remarkable. I was met by Gordie Laplante who greeted me and then gave me the room I needed to "kick some tires" but also was there when I had questions. The latitude these folks give you as well as communication is far and away beyond any from any of the 15+ dealers that I had been dealing with. The bike that I eventually selected is truely a beauty and will be with me for quite a while I'm sure. I will be a loyal customer of theirs for a long, long time regardless of the distance. " Ronnie's is by far the best HD dealership we have ever done business with (and we have dealt with a lot of them). We learned of Ronnie's when travelling from RI to upstate NY when my bike broke down. Roadside Assistance failed to rescue us, but Paul in the Service Dept picked up their slack. When our bike failed to show up at the dealer prior to closing the day I broke down, Paul called me the next morning to see what happened. I advised that I had to abandon my bike on the side of the road for the night. He offered to have the bike towed using the dealership's truck and trailer. Thank God! Who knows what would have happened to my bike if I had left it unattended for much longer. Paul then worked with Ken from the Parts Dept to order my custom handlebars, get them powder coated and get my bike back together - in better shape than it was in the first place, I might add. My wife and I were so happy with the service we could not wait to pick up the bike and meet the staff. We made the 2 1/2 hour ride one Saturday (at which time they also improved my wife's bike while we waited). We spent all day there hanging out with the staff and even took a ride with Ronnie himself to the top of Mt. Greylock before heading back to RI. We have never received such great service from any other HD dealer. Now, the 2 1/2 hour ride seems like nothing. We went back to visit a couple weeks ago and are planning another ride with a group of friends out there in a few weeks. It is beautiful riding out there in the Berkshires and you should visit them if you have the chance. While everyone is great, we are particularly grateful to Paul in Service for following up with me regarding my broken down bike. He was a life saver and due to his extraordinary customer service we will have relationship with Ronnie’s of Pittsfield forever. "

"You know, every dealer tells you they'll treat you like family, take care of your bike and give you red carpet treatment after the sale. No many really live up to it, but these folks do. I recently bought my second bike from Ronnie's (Gordie is my guy - the best!) and not only was the purchase and financing (Kelly is incredible) a simple and delightful experience, but the the follow-up was like nothing I've ever received elsewhere. Small problems cropped up with the bike and the service team (Paul and Gary) were right there to make sure everything was put right. The guys in the back (Kyle and Ken) are always helpful and knowledgeable. If you want a helmet or a jacket, Becky is there, bright-eyed and full of ideas. I can't thank these folks enough for how they've treated me through two bike-buying experiences. I really think a prospective buyer is well-advised to choose their dealer before choosing their bike. You won't go wrong with Ronnie's. On my frequent visits to the dealership, I've run into Ronnie, himself, and I can tell you this is a guy I really admire. He rolls up his sleeves, so-to-speak, to keep track of every detail of his business and he loves talking to his customers. "In 2002 bought my first new Harley Softail, from Vern(he's like talking to an old friend) in Pittsfield, took delivery fast and easy with a lot of help from Kelly in finance. Brought the bike home told a friend and 3 days later he did the same. Also recommended Ronnies tomy step son, but he wanted a ricer so we went to Bennington VT and Ronnies pulled through again. "I live a little north of Albany, NY. I purchased my 2006 Road King Custom in Great Neck, NY. At 1000 miles, I purchased new Screamin Eagle pipes, upgraded the air intake system, and had my 1000 mile checkup and oil change completed at a well-kown Albany Harley Davidson Dealer. After picking up my bike I noticed a hesitation upon throttle up. The hesitation became quite severe, to the point of sometimes stalling from stopping at a light or a stop sign. Aside from being somewhat dangerous, it was extremly frustrating. I brought my bike back to the well-kown Albany Harley dealer, and was told, with a little attitude, "there is nothing wrong with your bike". Long story short, I stopped by Ronnies and spoke with Dave Munson, Service Manager, and he knew from my discription exactly what needed to be done. I brought my bike into Ronnies, and 2 hours later rode home a very happy man. My bike ran better than new. I am now a loyal Ronnies disciple spreading the word. "

"I purchased a 2001 electra glide standard, just before americade 2006. I started to experience carbruator problems in lake george. I called ronnies, and the told me to take it to a local harley dealer, and the man on the phone told me they didn't want me to be broke down. It turned out to be a stuck float, and ronnies paid to have it repared. I thought for sure because it was a 30 day warranty I was going to have to take it back to ronnies, or pay for it myself. I will travel back when its time for me to purchase another. I am a life long customer of ronnies. "

"Recently, while on a road trip to visit our Vermont Chapter, I experienced what I believed to be an exhuast leak. After checking the HOG book, I found Ronnies to be on the very road we were traveling to get to VT. My President also realized he was at 1000 miles on his new bike and he wanted to get a service done since we we're going to be there anyway. I called ahead and spoke to Dave, the Service Manager. Dave was very understanding of our time constraints, and knew we had little time to waste. He asked when we would be there and that he'd get us right in. After arriving and meeting Dave, we realized it was a cracked hanger that was causing my sip-on to hang, thus causing my exhaust leak. Dave also advised me that there was a recall on my ignition switch and that it could be fixed up without adding any delay. We were all wrapped up and on our way, with freshly washed bikes to boot, in no time at all. I'd like to thank Dave, the tech who handled our bikes and the gentleman that cleaned them up for us(forgot their names, sorry guys). "My Husband had just bought a Heritage Softail Classic through Ronnies with an outstanding experience. Four weeks later we returned to purchase my first Harley. We traded in my Suzuki GZ250. With all intentions of the 883R, I fell in love with the Sportster 1200C. With wonderful patiens and time spent with Gordy, I made my desision with no presures or feeling rushed. "I thought that I'd give Ronnie's a shot at my business so I had an oil change done last Saturday. Glad I did! Dave, the service manager, treated me like a person and not a walking dollar sign. This is definitely better service than any local Albany dealer has given me. Next service will be for a new front tire and in 6,000 miles I will have them do my 40,000 mile service. And, after my oil change, they even washed my bike. Nice touch! It's one thing to say that you give good customer service, but to actually do it is quite another. And Ronnie's DID give me excellent customer service. I also spoke with Ken in parts during my oil change and he was helpful without being pushy. "

"Bought my '78 Yamaha XS750SE 30 years ago from Ronnie. Motor needed major overhaul at 6300 miles - 300 miles out of warranty. Ronnie contacted Yamaha and explained connecting rod nut came loose, trashed motor - not my fault. Yamaha backed 100% parts and labor - cost me $20 for oil/filter. I still have the bike, runs good and looks new. After long hiatus plan on getting back in the saddle and riding. I never forgot what Ronnie did for me, have recommended his store to many friends over the years..and plan on buying my next bike from him (next year I hope, after kids are out of college.) Great people to deal with!"
